Koti Tirth

There is a Kund near south facing Mahakaleshwar temple. It is known as Koti Kund. This Kund has the water of pilgrimage. Hence, having bath in this Kund is similar to having bath in at many spiritual places. This Kund was established by Hanuman a great devotee of lord Ram.

This particular Kund is built in the sarvatobhadra style. The Kund and its water both being regarded as very celestial. Then there is a path adjoining the stairs of the Kund which represents the sculptural grandeur of the temple built during the Paramara period. In the east this auspicious Kund is a large-sized Veranda in which there is the entrance to the path leading to the garbhagrha.
